Kristen Miller, MA, T-LMHC
I count it a blessing to walk alongside individuals, couples, and young adults as they discover who they truly are in Christ. My desire is to create a compassionate and safe space where healing, growth, and restoration can flourish.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Community Counseling from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Business from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Developmental Psychology with Marriage and Family Certificate through Liberty University, to deepen my understanding and enhance the support I offer my clients.
My professional journey includes serving as an inpatient mental health therapist in Colorado and working with children and young adults in ministry and school settings. I also have experience counseling survivors and perpetrators of domestic violence. For two years, I worked with the Department of Veteran Affairs, assisting Veterans in navigating their benefits and supporting them through their transitions. My work experience has also included collaboration with law enforcement agencies and military service members, with a focus on trauma and PTSD.
In my counseling approach, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) approaches, while integrating other therapeutic modalities as needed to best meet each client’s unique needs. I believe therapy is a journey, not a destination. My goal is to walk alongside you in your healing process—offering support, encouragement, and clinical expertise—trusting that the Lord, in His grace, meets us where we are and leads us into wholeness.
Outside of counseling, I’m a wife and a proud mom to three energetic boys who fill my days with joy and adventure. I enjoy playing the piano, family game nights, mountain trips, camping, and spending time on my family’s farm in Kansas.
