Kristen Miller, MA, T-LMHC
I am so thankful you found New Life Counseling and look forward to journeying with you. I am passionate about helping individuals, women, and young adults discover who they truly are in Christ.
I earned my M.A. in Clinical Community Counseling from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and I received my B.A. in Communication Business from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kansas. Currently, I am enrolled in the PhD program in Developmental Psychology through Liberty University.
Before coming to New Life, I worked as an inpatient mental health therapist in Colorado. Additionally, I have mentored and counseled children and young adults in ministry and school settings. I also have experience working with domestic violence victims and offenders. I spent two years working for the Department of Veteran Affairs, helping Veterans gain access to their benefits upon discharge or retirement from their service. I largely utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I like to incorporate other modalities or techniques as necessary.
Therapy and healing take time. I desire to partner with my clients on their therapeutic journey and promote a safe space for them to work through their life circumstances. As we walk our own journey of healing, discovery, and growth, the Lord, in His grace, longs to meet us where we are.
I have a wonderful husband and three amazing young boys who keep me very busy! In my free time, I love playing the piano, playing games with my boys, traveling to the mountains, and camping and visiting my family farm in Kansas.
