Kyla Van Woudenberg, T-LMHC

As a counselor, my passion is helping clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe every person has the ability to grow, and I strive to provide a safe and compassionate space where clients can be their authentic selves. Whether you are working through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, or other stressors, my goal is to walk alongside you as you build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and build a strong foundation for your future.
I enjoy working with young adults, teens, and children. My strategy is to work collaboratively with clients and parents to understand unique experiences and goals, tailoring treatment to meet individual needs. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients recognize their strengths, navigate challenges, and move toward meaningful growth. I am especially passionate about working with young people and helping them discover hope, resilience, and the tools they need to thrive.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with minors in Bible and Music from Cedarville University. My Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is from Liberty University. I have a variety of clinical experience, including a recreational play therapy internship at Orchard Place’s residential campus, as well as completing practicum and internship experiences in various counseling settings.
In my free time I enjoy serving in my church community, where I lead worship and work with youth. I also love to read and spend time with friends and family. I feel honored to be part of each client’s journey and look forward to partnering with you as you work toward healing, growth, and lasting change.
