With over 15 years of experience in the counseling field, Heather has a rich background in supporting youth and families. Holding a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Work and a Master of Science in School Counseling from Drake University, she spent five years as a School Counselor before pursuing a Clinical Mental Health license through an internship at New Life. Her experience includes working with youth in residential treatment, counseling adults with substance use issues, and running a technology-free in-home daycare for six years to foster children's social and emotional development. Passionate about helping youth navigate challenges, Heather uses a cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approach to empower children to manage their emotions and reactions while guiding parents in addressing the complexities of modern caregiving. A former college athlete, she also brings valuable insight into the unique pressures faced by student-athletes balancing academics and extracurriculars.

Elle is a compassionate and client-centered therapist-in-training dedicated to helping individuals find healing, growth, and self-empowerment through a collaborative and faith-informed approach. Believing that clients are the experts in their own lives, she works to provide new perspectives and support on their therapeutic journey. Elle earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Iowa in 2022 and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work with a clinical specialization at the same institution. During her graduate studies, she gained valuable experience as a school social work intern in the Des Moines metro area, offering counseling and mental health resources to students. Upon graduating in May 2025, Elle plans to become a licensed clinician and continue using her skills and faith to guide clients toward hope and fulfillment.
