Bekah Riker, MA, LMHC
I am thankful to be at New Life Counseling, learning and experiencing all that the counseling field has to offer. I was born and raised in Johnston, IA and grow up in a loving and supportive home where Christ was the center. I love reading, attending church activities and being with my family at sports events and outside in nature.
I attended the University of Northern Iowa and completed my bachelor’s degree in Family Services. I always knew I would go back to school to become a counselor. I am a busy wife and mother with a lifelong passion to bring hope and healing to those around me through a faith-based approach to counseling, using Biblical truths and principles as a guide for counseling. I desire to meet clients where they are at and walk alongside them in their counseling journey. My faith is a huge part of who I am and I love bringing the truth of God’s word into sessions with clients.
I am open to seeing clients of all ages and with any needs they present. My hope is to be an advocate, an encouragement, and a source of hope for anyone who walks into my office. I truly believe that counseling is a collaborative effort where it takes both the counselor and the client working together to reach the client’s goals. I hope to equip my clients with the tools they need to create balance and health in their lives.
