Stephanie Blanchard, MA, LMHC

Healing takes place in the context of relationships. This belief, coupled with my faith in Jesus Christ has fueled my passion for the therapeutic process and continues to convince me of our collective need to come alongside one another to carry each other’s burdens and to help produce character, endurance and hope for the future. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and accepting environment for clients to feel empowered to move toward growth, change, healing and wholeness.

I received my Masters of Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary and my undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. My clinical experience includes working with adolescent and adult individuals and couples utilizing a faith-based approach coupled with the therapeutic models of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-focused practices. I utilize individualized treatment plans to meet each client where they are at including the areas of depression and anxiety, PTSD, addictions and recovery, relational conflict, grief and loss, emotional regulation, and difficult life changes/transitions.

Currently I reside in Kansas City, MO after having spent 13 years in Iowa. My husband and I are involved in full-time ministry and have the amazing privilege of raising 4 very energetic boys. I love all things coffee and interior design, I am an extreme extrovert, a 2 on the Enneagram, and recently I just started Jazzercise (the absolute hardest workout of my life!).

Life can be oh so hard, yet hope-filled when we do this life together!
